  1. Hello Miss Webb,
My name is Jamilia, and I have been asked to create an essay on any topic of my choosing. I have chose to create an essay based upon black women self image and if this has been affected by the media. From researching your articles, I have grown interest on understanding why black women are subjected to feeling that being lighter is more satisfying. As a young black girl I feel that this information will be crucial, not only sharing the thoughts behind this but to promote self love from my finding. I know that you are probably very busy, but if you could just help me to have a more meaningful insight into the ideas behind colourism I would be very grateful. Of course, if you cab help me I will make sure to credit all your comments.
Thank you so much for your time,
    Yours Sincerely,
    Jamilia
